Designer Notes

A basic and to the point design, that isn't what is special about this Dutch website. The site is an online photo archive for historical photographs, drawings and paintings.

I was looking for an offline solution for storing and maintaining of all my digital photos, but it needed to have a feature to show it online too. What is the point of collecting old photos when nobody can see them... Sadly all I found wasn't suitable or was way too expensive. Because I had a clear picture what I wanted and needed, I started looking if I could make it myself. Uhh yeah, of course using CMS Made Simple!!

Browsed through the CMSMS Forge, tested several add-on modules and found Calguy's Uploads module the best suitable. But not for 100% though... What I missed was an unique naming of the uploaded files. You can imagine accidentally overwriting files because of duplicate names isn't acceptable!

Mailed a detailed proposal to Calguy, the module developer, and asked him if he would accept this as a paid feature request. He did!
